It's funny how I glide over rock bottom
Just a notch above sharp edges
Avoiding the stabs while I flow
A notch enough not to take damage
But a notch enough to see the recoil
It's funny how I could take a wrong turn
And end up shreded
Or how I could drift along a stream
And find an exit
Fake hope reflects on hooks
Waiting for you to make the mistake
Making you run sort of the same fate if you surrender to gravity
And end up at the razor blades down below
Isn't it funny?
I see you down there going through what I went through some time ago
But I'm a notch up
Enough to watch, but not to lend a hand
Today I took a wrong turn
Slashed my face and lost my vision
Kept on flowing but dragging sorrow upon me
Ended up on the same rift as last time
Missed this place with twisted nostalgia
My life's worst moments. My life greatest lessons
Another point of view, long ago lost
Getting back here. Finding the exit
Beign down here
Isn't it funny?
I wouldn't mind trying my reach
Givin a helping hand to a lost soul like me
Isn't it funny how it isn't funny?
Join me above the sharp stones
Follow me a notch above
I can't promise safety
But I can promise company
Even in the greatest of failures
I can promise company
Up a notch
